Shalom! My name is Sam Stern, and I hope you will consider me to be your next rabbi. I am a Jew with a lifelong commitment to the Reform movement. I am developing a rabbinate around communal participation, ritual and liturgical innovation, and education for people of all ages.

For the past few years, I've had the privilege to work as the sole rabbinic presence in my synagogue. I've gained experience in all areas of the rabbinate. I have experience with Jews of all ages and have worked with Hillel and Young Professionals, ran youth programs for large synagogues, in addition to many adult education series on topics such as Zionism, Shabbat Liturgy, Creative Prayer Innovation, Intro to Judaism, and Adult B'nai Mitzvah.

From working at URJ Camps to working at URJ synagogues, to now being ordained from HUC-JIR, I have been working in the Reform movement as a full-time professional for many years, and my commitment to helping people of all ages connect with their Judaism has only grown with each experience. My wife and I even met at a synagogue young adult event! I love synagogue work because it is exciting, relational, and allows me to work with families during important life-cycle moments of joy and sorrow, teach passionately, give thoughtful and intelligent sermons, offer compassionate pastoral care, and write/publish about Judaism and Jewish topics.

I hope we get to know each other soon. L'hitra'ot!
